Not going to lie, GIMP is an awful name for a piece of software.

It stands for:

GNU's Not Uniplexed Information and Computing Service Image Manipulation Program Tool Kit + Scene Graph Kit

Borrowed a Canon EOS D30, that had a whopping 3.1 megapixel sensor, and a cheap chinese lens that didn't autofocus and wouldn't go > f/4 this evening.

In spite of the fact that I only had a 32mb CF to play with, and two batteries that died after 20 minutes of use - I really enjoyed myself. Should be getting a D200 this weekend off a family member, can't wait!

Bought myself a Nikon DSLR about 3 years ago, used it twice, just use my iPhone now as it’s simpler to carry around and use especially on holidays.

Got the D200 now, it's a lovely piece of kit. I'm stuck with the 28-80mm kit lens until my financial situation sorts itself out.

I took this at a wedding last month.

Canon 5Div + 35mm lens.
f2.8, 1/100th, iso400
Flash was about 10ft behind the couple on 1/2 power spread to 20mm to light up the rain.
I had to make sure the brolly was held at just the right angle so that the right from the rear bounced down to light their faces.
