Phil Nevilles Kicking

Right, I'm losing my **** with Phil and his kicks.

I know you're reading this mate, but you gotta

PUT AWAY THE PITCHING WEDGE FFS

Felli's trying to head a ball in the back of the net with about as much power on it as a piece of fluff.

Get over the ball, use your instep and really smack it onto someones head if you wanna cross a ball. It's not Rocket Science and god knows how much you get paid to kick it.
tbf to phil- playing football isnt really his strong point, you seem to be wanting crosses whipped in from him all of a sudden, he`s been in a bad run of form for about 6yrs or so and needs to play regular to get the form back - thats why he got a nice big contract that broke our over 30s policy

His passing is atrocious, he panics nearly every time, so either hoofs it to no one or passes back, he ruins our play, a kid can pass better than him. His defending is good but his ball/passing skills are crap! He annoys the hell out of me, i like the guy but jeeez

I can't get my head around it. For a guy that's made almost 500 Premiership appearances, the least you would expect from him is to get the basics right. At times, he looks like he's never kicked a ball before.

He shouldn't be trying to take responsibility for getting the side going and moving forward. When he is in defence, he should defend. When he is in midfield, he should sit back and defend/close down.
He'd be the first to admit he is no Paul Scholes - but with so many other players frightened of the fans wrath at the game for a missed pass, the ball is often finding its way to the only person with the bottle to have a go.

EXACTLY ....its drives me batty when the ball keeps coming to him expecting him to be the one to unlock the game

Sometimes players saunter gradually over the hill and sometimes they jump from one side to the other overnight.
Sadly Neville seems to have gone, well and truly. Without a defensive right winger providing double cover he has been ripped to shreds the past few weeks. Stephen Ireland waltzed past his time after time at Villa and he's not even remotely fast or especially tricky. I think it's killing his confidence hence why is passing is getting worse as well.

lol everytime he goes to pull one off,the first thing i say to the fellas next to me,...there gunna counter attack us,ffs phil!
