The bit of steel he adds, Physically and psychologically, in midfield may help to iron out the defensive rough spots we've been having this season. This in turn will give confidence to the team in general. Taking the pressure of the attacking players. Generally under Moyes, scoring two goals would have invariably given us 3 points and often 1 goal was enough. this year, two goals against Hull for example have seen us come away empty handed. You look at the match threads and notice we don't expect us to keep a clean sheet against any team. The players must feel the same and this added pressure could be a reason why that final ball goes astray or the chance that does arrive is snatched at. Against Brum we had something like 23 shots but only 3 on target. We're talking about players like Saha, Yakubu, Cahill and Fellaini who all know where the goal is. We've also been cutting down on the hoofball from what I can make out, So Pip's return could be a real turning point.

This.

Said it directly after he got inured, we were gonna suffer without him. Still there were people who thought him getting injured was good news. Very happy, he's almost back to take control on the pitch. We definately missed his leadership skills.

We are a soft team without him in the lineup. Talent wise he may be only the 12-15th best on the squad, but is unparrelled when it comes to brains and work rate.

You never know what you have until you miss it.

I think many Evertonians are just now coming to the realization of how valuable Phil Neville was to us in the middle of the park.

I wont be surprised if we keep our first clean sheet in 13 games against Burnley if he plays. We only kept two clean sheets in the games es been out.

Dont it always seem to go!

So who looses there spot if he starts, id be tempted to have him at centre half - though Distin is in contention for this game.
