First of all, this is not my idea or thread, it is written by Streetendblue of Bluekipper. However, for the idea to get any recognition at all it makes sense to spread it;
'I've just finished setting up an online petition to request a standing area at the back of the Street End initially for about 200-300 fans. It will all be perfectly legal and safe and it won't effect those who wish to sit as we will be at the back say 10 rows, so we won't be in their way when we persistantly stand in front of our seat.
So for all those who complain about us not singing or not having any new songs here's the answer! I've seen this some great songs on here that people have made up themselves, it's a shame that they've going to waste in the past but with loads of like minded people together and all standing up it's our chance to get the singing back.
By the way, I've called it a singing section because I feel it sounds more appealling to the club than if I called it an asbo or lid section! So don't be put off by the title!
So if you're interested sign up, hopefully Everton will approach you first if you've signed. Forward it to any mates who may be interested who may not see it. Stick it on facebook if you're into that type of thing. We won't get it they don't think anyone wants it.
If you sign up but don't want to go there just put a little note on the comments part to say so, so that you're not called on to go in it.
It's the first stage to see what interest there is, so finer details like deciding who goes in if oversubscribed or any other problems can be discussed now.
