Penalties.

That will be our quota for the next two seasons then...

I would say so

I would also say we have had more substantial penalty appeals turned down this season.

I haven't seen them yet but neither looked stone wallers to me in the ground.

Not complaining, though ;)

Definitely had better appeals turned down this season ,some of the ones we haven't got were blatant. Lennon one was guaranteed penalty, Ross' couldve gone either way.

Such a waste of peno quota used up for the season.

My thoughts exactly. Bit like the other season when we went all season without a pen, then got one on the last day of the season.

It does seem odd that we get so few. Generally you'd think the teams that attack the most and score the most should get the most pens, as they spend more time in positions where they could get a pen. The amount awarded largely follows the league table with us being a rather large anomaly. We have a bit of a right to feel hard done by.

Worth bearing in mind when considering end of season goal tallies too. I think Vardy has 3 more than Rom but has scored 3 or 4 pens, Kane has the same has Rom but has 4 or 5 league pens etc. Given the league positions and lack of pens, Ighalo and Rom have been the most impressive goalscorers thus far.

We will get more penalties if we get in the oppositions box more - and concede less if we defend properly by keeping the opposition out of our box. The likes Manure (under Fergie), City and the like get the ball in the penalty area quicker than most and more often. We have a history of backing off and allowing forwards to get in our area and allowing a tackle

See what happens when we get in the oppositions box. Make the defenders tackle and put doubt in the refs mind. The 2nd one last night, Ross went over easily imo, but enough contact there to warrant a pen

We get in the opposition's box plenty. It's not as if all our goals (fourth in the league) come from screamers from 25 yards out, after all.

One slight problem is we probably have a reputation for diving now with some refs. Delofeu and Barkley are two obvious candidates, but even McCarthy and others have had theatrical attempts. Trouble is, other teams (particularly Satan's XI at Mordor) could take Tom Daley's crown.

We should bring Arteta back on a retainer to teach them how tomwin free kicks and pens he was the best ive ever seen! Del is without a doubt, the worst! :(
