Pele....though this man runs him close

Probably Pele but he's only regarded as the 2nd best Brazilian according to some on the older generation. Garrincha was their favourite, it was mainly due to the fact he had bowed legs and was a raving alscholic that also run over his own father! but still had more skills than Christiano Ronaldo.

He had everything that you see from a modern day wonderkid but this was the 50's and 60's where it was ok to go straight thru a player and be very physical towards your opponant, players a very well protected today and rightly so when some challanges can end careers. Sorry to take this off topic, but lesser known legends needing outing!

Pah, the black Peter Beagrie

Seriously Garrincha was amazing. Not only did he have bowed legs, but one leg was shorter than the other and he had a curved spine. I think mainly due to malnutrition in his childhood.

Haven't seen a lot of footage of Eusebio but enough to know he was a phenomenal player. Everything I've seen and heard and read would indicate that Pele had a bit more in his locker

I wouldn't have been dissapointed to have seen either play. I think Pele was helped by the fact the rest of the team he played in was probably the best footballing side that have ever played on world stages. Eusabio didn't have the strength in his team to take to more than one world cup finals which was a shame for him but he did score 317 goals in 301 games for Benfica and won a European cup.

They were all good, but I don't think any of them were any better than todays top players. It's more the competition they had was a lot worse. Todays players are professionals at the peak of their game, and everyone of the 'stand out' players of today is worthy of any 'stand out' player of yesterday.

Messi, Ronaldo, etc etc are light years ahead of any Pele, Best, or Eusebio in my opinion. Watching Ronaldo before he had all his flair coached out of him was a joy to behold.

Neither...

Maradona..!!!

By a mile.

He single handedly (Excuse the pun) won the world cup in 86 the team around him was poor and i dont think pele or eusebio could have done it, However you put maradona into there team they would have still done what they done if not more.

There may be a case for them being better (I don't think they are personally), but feel that's exaggerated mate.
