I had my suspicions of this man given he is a RS supporter, so have a read of this given he is talking of his very own and then how far will he go to discredit Everton supporters, and given how involved he was trying to change our heritage in the last few days.

A leaked dossier allegedly drawn up by Everton FC’s director of communications during his former role at Liverpool compared prominent Reds fans to Cambodia’s notorious Khmer Rouge.

The document is claimed to have been drawn up by Paul Tyrrell at the height of antagonism between LFC supporters and the unpopular Anfield regime run by Tom Hicks and George Gillett in 2010.

It was leaked by the evertonarentwe.com fan website although it is not clear how the highly sensitive, internal report came into their hands.

The documents states that some Reds fans groups are “like the sporting version” of Cambodia’s 1970s revolutionaries, wanting to “get to Year Zero to start all over again and see the opportunity of furthering their general political beliefs through LFC”.

Journalists are also targeted and their allegiances and views identified, including former ECHO reporters Tony Barrett and Dom King.

Mr Tyrrell issued a firm “no comment” about the dossier today.

It is signed off PT and makes reference to how fans “regard the owners as evil pals of (George) Bush ... and the chairman (Martin Broughton) as Tory toffs and people such as me (with my family political background) as traitors.”

Mr Tyrrell’s dad was once a Labour mayor of Halton.

The Farm frontman and outspoken Reds fan Peter Hooton – who is referred to on the four-page list – said he was considering taking legal action over some of the claims about him in the dossier. Mr Hooton told other fans on web forums that he would be “getting his lawyers onto this”.

And Spirit of Shankly said it was disgusted to be compared to a “murderous genocidal regime” just for taking a different stand to the club’s management.

The SOS’s James McKenna told the ECHO: “To see this sort of confirms what we suspected, that there were briefings and dossiers and blacklists.

“You would think we were some kind of sinister political front. How can we be compared to a murderous regime committing genocide, and what is a ‘sporting version’ of a murderous dictatorship?

“If you look at what was happening in the summer of 2010, undermining the club didn’t come down to us.”

The fans are also accused of being happy to see the club plummet down the divisions, “effectively go bust and then reform in a pure Socialist form – run by a Supporters Trust”.

The dossier adds: “They failed in the past to take on the establishment in the form of the Conservative government in the 1980s ... and form a Trotskyist Independent People’s Republic.”

LFC sources said the club had been under a very different regime in the run up to the crisis of 2010 which saw Hicks and Gillett take the club to court during the ownership wrangle.

A spokesman added: “No-one from the club’s current management was involved with or had any knowledge of this document.”

Can Bungling Bill afford to keep this man at Everton with all the legalities talked about in there when Ian Ross caught the rap for what he and others did behind the scenes at GP when coniving against Everton fans via emails.

...there is a bigger point to be considered, taxi for Mr Elstone?

You can download the document from - https://t.co/mbsI3VevOZ

The nonsensical and rather silly comparisons with a regime responsible for the death of five million people apart, 'PT' makes some valid contributions to the debate the dark side had about their former owners. He cannot, however, take out the comparisons and broader nonsense written..and he is a wordsmith. So, taxi for Mr 'PT'.

I am, however, more nervous about the quality of the people Robert Elstone appoints generally...he got rid of Ian Ross (well Ross got rid of Ross, really) and replaced him with a red and one capable of writing silliness like this document. He appointed another red, Dave Biggar, who promptly tries to drop the club's inspirational motto from the Crest.

He appointed the whole marketing team that came up with Crestgate...

he led on the Kirkby fiasco...

I think it is time we asked, is Robert rubbish and where is the nearest taxi rank?

Roll on the court case, the sooner the better, we need the likes of these [RS] people out of club asap.

Can't we just sack the lot of them?

Tyrell, Elstone, Earle, Kenwrong

Anything or anyone that is toxic enough to bring negative opinion on the club should go, especially someone in his position. It is like having Peter Mandelson amongst us, too dark, too dirty.
The concept of collating that information alone is quite warped and stasi like. Get shut, quick, but he'll kick up a ****storm or cost us a fortune if he goes...

I suppose we are all powerless, really. But, as I see it, nobody appoints someone who is better than them. So Rob Elstone will appoint people of lesser ability like 'PT' and 'DB' et al.

It goes on, Bill will appoint Robert Elstone because he is no threat to Bill...

But Bill wont go because of us on this forum. And neither will Robbie-boy unless we kick up a Crestgate-style petition.

Best move on quickly!

He will have been asked to produce this.

Ill advised choice of wording (even for an internal document) but ultimately, having that nous is his job.

Hasnt he been 'asked' to leave by all the other clubs (Man Citeh, Aston Villa and the RS) who have employed him?

You would have thought Bungling Bill would have thought there is something a bit iffy about him.

Accepted and a fair point. Just a little litotes where understatement would have been better. I suppose it is his style which begs questions - is that a temperament thing we can do without?

I suspect we can.

A poor choice of comparison, but seriously who gives a toss what comparison he made to kopites during their pitch battle with H&G & when employed elsewhere?

I couldn't care less if SOS are outraged by it tbh.

Fact is this will go to court with him as an Everton employee, and as an Everton employee him and Elstone changed the club crest and God only knows what he has got up to when trying to quieten supporter unrest at GP.
