great player for us when we where kings of england but this kid hates us now did you hear him after the villa game saying it was good that celtic and fulhum are there he did not even mention oue mighty club everton he done nothing but rip us when our game was on ok yobo made a mistake well baines but the lad never says anything good about us

A ; He wasn't ever great . Good sometimes , but never great , my mate .
b- He doesn't hate us . One thing he DOES do , however , is tout our manager to Man Utd , too damn regular . That aside , he's a blue-nose .Listen to him on the radio . He was also the only Div 1 player to admit to liking , even knowing whom , the Coctaeu Twins , were , back in the day-o .
Tick in box from L.C.A.B.

Welcome to you all , by the way .

He did have a nice little dig at that clown Hughes at half time though. Talking about Hughes claiming to have signed the best CB in the league, he said something along the lines of "I don't know about that, he hasn't even signed the best CB at Everton". Made me chuckle anyway (y)

You just beat me to it, that was a quality remark, Pat Nevin went up in my estimation of him!

Agree with this. I've always thought he was quite a positive ex-blue, no problem with him. His music taste has always been excellent as well!

Oh deary me.

Who else? Andy Gray? TC? Lineker?

It's not the case. Pat Nevin is a big Evertonian, and he was that good, the team just wasn't,

I love that remark about Lescott.
I just hope this proves right next summer when England world cup defenders are Rio, Terry, Jagielka and Upson.:lol:

Beyond the fact he was a blue, I just think he's one of the few who talks a lot of sense, pro us or not.
Ace chip against United lad.

It was well going over the bar. We had some kind of bubble in the ball that made it come down quick.

the old turkish slipper greavsie described it as.
he seemed to be all for us a couple of seasons ago, particularly the fans, i remember the nuremburg game in particular.

is that chip online anywhere ?

i was under the impression that Nevin was a Chelsea fan, although he must hold Everton in some regard having spent some four or five years at the club, and I like to see him giving analysis on games when available.

Can't remember if he actually played for Scotland at any world cup finals, can't recall his presence in Mexico and was sure he missed the boat for Italy four years later, and the finals would of been a poorer event with his omission.

I will always remember being in Birmingham in '89 when Nevin scored the only goal vs Norwich only for the jubilation to turn decidedly sour when events of Sheffield filtered through, we were in the final but it felt like a hollow victory.

There are too many footballers commentating on football in general, and too many opinions made . It's getting like flipping snooker.

I'd much rather have a guy who gets excited by the game regardless of team, with the odd outburst of GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!!!!
