Part of me wants to keep it in house...

We are, for the first time in about 30 years, well-off financially

We can afford to aim high, we definitely do not need to be taking a punt on an unproven coach who has been part of a failed regime at Everton

This is probably the last thing I'd want to do
First point fair enough but he's not really been part of a failed regime is he? The U21's have their own set up, they've done well in the league under Unsworth, players have developed well and Martinez should have played a few more. If you watch them play, their fit, organised, defensively sound and play decent football.

Disagree.

BUT we should out in place an infrastructure that ensures consistency no matter who comes and goes, where that is a director of football or something else, but it is a requirement in my opinion.

That's not our board - BK is definitely not going to jump.

The main reason I don't want us to keep it in house is because the squad needs an overhaul and hiring someone in house is not going to do us any favours when it comes to signing players in the summer.

Where's the Poll ? Imagine undies' bird standin behind the dug out tellin him what to do. Didn't she drag him back from villa?

Said on another thread, reckon Unsworth would do a good job possibly with a director of football above him, done well at U21's with a young team, just not the big name people want.

Or showing some players the door marked exit.
