We need them there for man management/coaching their areas/ instilling Evertonianism.

But we need someone who has a modicum of tactical nouse and knows how to win football matches pulling the strings here...
 

another downside is burning bridges - in sports, putting your own inhouse guy is always such a risk, and it'd be a shame to put those relationships at risk, as i'm sure you' know
 

If this Iranian has the doe he claims he has, then we want f*cking Mourinho, and if not Mourinho then Pellegrini lad. Everton aren't we?
 

I think this could have worked after Moyes had he kept a lot of the Staff at United. He had a lot of talented people at Everton that we took of granted and only when they left did we miss them (particularly the fitness coaches). Round was a very well respected coach while Stubbs & Weir have shown themselves quite capable. You also had Phil Neville, who love him or loathe him had a lot of respect in the dressing room. I think we could have done ok with them, perhaps with a Royle acting as a guy upstairs to support them.

Now I think the moment has gone and we need to find a big name appointment.
