teppic

Player Valuation: £50m
Interesting I've been waiting for an English team to buy him to see how good he actually is.

Good luck to him, but in my view his attitude is all wrong. He is basically the opposite of Park Ji Sung. Selfish, high opinion of himself. Still interesting to see if he can put a couple in the onion bag.

It isn't forwards Arsenal require.
We have Fellaini.
Man Utd - Fletcher/Anderson.
Chelsea - Mikel/Essien.
City - Yaya/De Jong/Barry
Liverpool - Lucas/Gerrard
Bolton - Muamba/ReoCoker
I see Arsenal and there is no tough midfielder there, and it is a bit of fight they require, running the 100 quickly is one thing but grafting in the trenches is quite another.

I think it will be the first of a couple. If you were an Arsenal fan, you'd be hoping so anyway

I'd argue that Frimpong, Song and Diaby could be that type of Arsenal player, but that won't get them a title challenge, granted

Anyway, interesting to see how it gets on. I think I know which one he is, does he score many Teppic?

Alex Song is a good central/defensive mid. Better than Mikel, Anderson, Barry, Muamba and Reo Coker for me. I'd say Lucas but he really has improved a lot of late.

He took all the pennos for Monaco which boosted his goals tally. He is good at set pieces and can easily find the net, but he is no Baines. (Why Arteta has taken over set pieces from Baines is a mystery to me.. Baines one free kick, underside of the bar, Arteta two free kicks hit the wall twice. Sort it Moyes FFS).

I watched Park CY when he was at FC Seoul and he was mustard. The K league is awful though. For 3 mill it seems like a great deal for the Arse. I reckon with suitable playing time he will be looking at between 10-15 goals. Something for the London Korean community as he is something of a poster pin up boy here.

No discipline though. Gets caught too high up the pitch too often.

Mind, I say the same about Vermaelen and I suspect the actual problem is Wenger's coaching rather than the personnel. He was spoilt by Vieira who was the one in the million with the physique to push up and then get back in time, if you ask me.

I really don't think Wenger's the best coach from a defensive perspective. I mean, they started against United with two fairly experienced CBs in Djourou and Koscienlny (I can't spell either and can't be arsed looking up their actual names!) and they were all over the place. Trying to play offside with incredibly experienced fullbacks. Mental.

The thing is, is that he used to have Keown coach his defense. And the result was one of the best in Europe. (No seriously, for three years leading up to the big final against Barca their defense was immense.)

You would think he would have brought someone else to do it, if he knows thats an area he struggles with.

(I'm still hoping for the Wenger/Moyes co-managers dream team to come here, like. But it will never happen for lots of reasons.)

Haha. Wenger's attacking nouse, Moyes' defensive wisdom and the combination of their eyes for a bargain would be sensational!

Mertesacker... I don't know. I've never been sold on him. He will give them some height for set pieces though.

I say some height, I mean a lot of height. He's like 9 feet tall.

I still don't know why Arsene refuses to buy a defender that's already proven in this league. Samba would be my choice. What a beast.
