Pan-Seared Steak

We have one 'fancy' Indian resturant near us, that according to the wife (I don't like curries) is equivalent to a decent take-away. The caveat, they charge resturant like prices. For instance, a chicken Korma (I think that is what she likes) with some rice and a bit of naan is $17.95 Bit pricey if you ask me!
 

thats approx £9

i dont know if that korma is the sanitized british version or the northern indian authentic version.

here korma is sweet and coconutty, closer to yellow than orange, and at times can be a little watery.

think they use almonds in it as well.

not the dish for me, not the dish for me on a scale beyond measure.
 

Megabump I know but thanks for the link, I always thought that the american short-loin was pretty much equivilent to the British sirloin cut, now ze proof!

Also, ask a butcher about feather steak, best kept secret in butchery. The sly gets keep it for themselves (also sometimes known as Jewish steak, but quite possible you could get arrested asking for that).

The top is the american version the bottom english?
