We have the strongest squad for a generation, all our midfield is interchangeable but the only thing we lack is sheer pace. We just don't have this option. What would you give for a kanchelskis to complete this squad ? Spurs have it with Lennon, Arsenal with Walcott. I'm not necessarily talking about a world class player but a good premiership/european standard with pace to burn. I just think it would give us an extra option if we needed to change a game. Unfortunately I cant think of any names who are available in our price range ?

Welcome mate. Thats some time since registering and making your first post!

Agreed, we are lacking pace. I'm hoping we bring in a pacey right winger - it would add an extra dimension to our attack.

Welcome mate, Donovan is the shoe in but it just ain't going to happen.

Finding another Kanchelskis would be sex itself, not going to happen though. He was might PHWOAR though, apart from the last season when wanted to do one.

It has been a long time. I'll make sure I don't leave it so long before I make the next post.

Pacy right winger, and this team's complete.

Easier said than done really

A definite, Donovan did the job perfectly, compared to Lennon or Walcott he was probably not as quick but when you look back at our highlights, compared to our actual players, he was lightning quick!

I don't think we have to be looking for a guaranteed starter. We're actually starting to play football now, keeping possession. We have to concede less goals next year to compete at the top. All the top teams concede very few goals, mainly, because they starve the other side of possession. Now we are starting to do this, we don't want to ruin it by going back to the long ball over the top to run onto. But we WILL need the option to change some games.

Is Coleman Quick? iv'e seen him getting up and down the wing but havn't really seen him in a one to one sprint. Bale was bought as a LB by Spurs but is proving to be very useful at LM he is there biggest threat at the moment. Seamus is still young and learning but we have seen what players out of their positions can give (Rodwell). He can cross we saw that against Spurs at Goodison and he's been producing it at Blackpool. I'm not suggesting he would cope week in week out in the Premier league but he could be an option.
