Not sure I can put into words how great a writer he was. Shakespeare, Dickens, Joyce, etc. have nothing on his ability to entertain with the written word in English. Just got an iPad for xmas and I downloaded Kindle and found out that many books pre-1923 are FREE on there. Which means all of the classics, and a lot of Wodehouse's stuff. Many of you are probably familiar with Jeeves and Wooster, but I'm reading his early stuff now (Psmith, Journalist at the moment) and it's just pure genius. Some of the funniest stuff ever written.
Anyone who says comedic novels aren't "real" literature have no idea what they're talking about. P.G.'s stuff is THE stuff.
