You will all see soon.....

These threads just feel a bit like people are trying to out do eachother with controversial player naming. Ashley Cole ffs? One of the best full backs in the world in his prime.

Same with Beckham, the reason I listed his trophy record is because a number of the best teams in different leagues have obviously seen he's quite good at football and he's helped them become more successful by playing for them. His individual honours on wiki isn't that bad either like.

I find the issue with Beckham is a generational thing generally speaking most of us arl arses appreciate the game is quicker but far less skilful - particularly British players - Beckham epitomises this. Can't head a ball, tackle nor particularly quick and worst of all for a lad who plays out wide can't go past people - so seeing Eddie gray, George Best, Willie Johnston, Jimmy Johnson and many many more as predecessors makes you think - wtf??

But as someone said earlier if you're of a certain age all english players are overrated.

I've always though there were two types of wide men personally. The Skillfull and the Competitive. Beckham combined Technical perfection with Uber Competitiveness, and you know any dead ball around the box will be dispatched 7 times out of 10.

Jordan used to rave about a lot of things, mostly without foundation, but not this. The kid did have an abudance of skills and an on field maturity beyond his years. His Dad was his agent and advised him on the Spurs deal. We got a pathetic amount in compensation for years of nurturing at our academy.
One thing the article doesn't mention is although he is now without a club,he is 21, someone will take a punt on him and his Spurs contract earned him £2m, which is considerably more than the compo. we were paid.
Palace fans with wry smiles? None that I know.
