I think January is far more make and break than the next 5 games. He's well aware the players aren't doing what he wants. It's how he handles the transfers that'll define his first season, we clearly have issues let's see how him and Walsh go about solving this

The most worrisome thing about our current situation is that there is plenty of time for us to get really dragged deep into the mire.

That wasn't the case the last two seasons....we just drifted toward the fringes of the dogfight as games were running out.

Last season after 15 games we were 9th on 22 points

The season before we were 12th on 18 points.

Tbf I'd like to see him given loads of cash in January to really put his stamp on the squad. Can't really expect miracles with the squad he has, but that said he's already made many baffling decisions (Stek, Valencia, Bolasie, continuing to play Jagielka, etc.) and I am not sure I would trust him with loads of money.

That said, clearly he won't get sacked, so I will just hope for a minor miracle.
