Our midfield far too slow

It's very slow and you need energy in a midfield 2. Box to box mids seem to have become like gold dust, that's what having 3 mids in the formation has done, people aren't complete midfielders anymore.

We barely put a tackle in Sunday and were second to every ball the whole team looked like it had coronavirus.

I still think that it was a mistake not to recall Besic in January, especially since he'll be due back in the summer anyway.

He's nothing special, but he isn't scared to put a foot in and is levels above Davies. I'd have him in there ahead of Delph and Sigurdsson, too.

Just been watching Leipzig and spurs we are light years behind the German team, their midfield is everything that we are not, lots of forward passing and running

I recognise these words, but don't understand them all put together. What is this? Some kind of revolutionary tactic that the midfield can pass forwards and run? I don't think it will catch on around here any time soon unfortunately.

Generally agree with this, but it seems like whenever he pulls on the blue shirt he crumbles to dust.

Forward passing - Only Gomes is up to top 10 Prem level. Davies/Wallcot/Gylfi/Schds/Bernard/Iowbi/Delph are not.
Running - Wallcot is our only midfielder who could win a parents egg and spoon race.
Bernard and Iwobi can raise a gallop, Delph just.
Davies/Gylfi/Scnds/Gomes - Id be surprised if a 63 year old Peter Reid couldnt move faster. Hed definately still be a more effective footballer.
