Baxter has got something like 5 in 7 for the reserves, including the odd wonder strike. Before anyone says it's easy at that level, no one comes close to him, including the Yak, Beckford and Gueye, who've all made appearances for our second string. He's not going to get much of a game up front for us, but why not give him cameos for 5-10 minutes here and there as the support striker or on the left?

Donovan was 8 years older, so he was a hell of a lot more experienced. Vellios to me looks and sounds less impressive than Gueye, and Magaye's still waiting for his first premier league appearance.

I think Fellaini's probably more use further forward. I'd like to see Rodwell and Fellaini as a pair, taking turns to break forward to support Cahill and Saha.
