If you plant a seed, feed and water it in good conditions it will blossom into a beautiful flower.

If you plant a seed, feed and water it in good conditions but its diseased it will die.

If you plant a seed, feed and water it for 2 weeks then shut it in a shed with only a little sunlight, watering and feeding it intermittantly chances are its growth will be highly stunted and be half the flower it could have been.

That's beautiful mate

Good thing this is a football thread and not the Chelsea flower show eh

One player overlooked in 11 years

Everyone carrys on like Moyes has 30 wonder kids at the club that he refuses to play

The truth is we dont have anyone good enough for the first team

True that, but for an academy that has a few million a year spent on it, that's a pretty poor return isn't it?

The truth is we may have a good player, but he's never gonna get a chance. I don't mean a world beater, I don't mean great, but the next Hibbert/Osman/whatever, anything can be good and could come good, but we will never know. No one's given a chance, yet we hear the "oh, <name>'s been doing great in training and for the U18's/Reserves/On loan" every season, don't we?

And yes, I am aware someone's gonna say that some players are given chances and haven't really proven themselves to be that good, but I still believe that they could be given more of a chance (see Baxter, for "not really proven", Rodwell for "given more of a chance") and something might come good.

Its all the fault of the youth system now is it?

We got owned yesterday, it was by far the most inept performance seen under Moyes, but its hardly the fault of the youth system.

Where would be without the Jeffers, Rooney, Ball, Rodwell etc monies? Right up **** street i suspect.

No good having decent young players , if we don't give them the experience. If we had a manager who had the bottle to try these lads out, maybe things would be different...but hey...

I agree fully mate

I was having a pop at Stend having a go at Moyes not playing youth

He can only play them if he thinks there good enough to improve the first team
