Bit of balance. He signed in January and is probably on a decent whack, say 50k? Why would he want to be shipped out to some random club for potentially less money a week?

Also, golden boy Gueye speaks highly of him and he's helped him settle in so he can't be that much of a bell.

The fella is absolutely mince at football, but none of this mess is his fault.

Koeman undermining the player in pressers doesn't help anyone and ultimately will cost the club money

True this, we have messed up on this one, getting him was a big mistake but that happens in the market and will happen again, but how we deal with this is important and so far we are doing it badly. Not giving him a squad number was the first mistake, more or less telling other clubs not too touch him.

Washing dirty linen in public never works.

I do find the approach odd. It's clear you guys made a big mistake but the way in which Koeman/Everton are making that as clear as possible to everybody who will listen pretty much makes Niasse one of the least desired players anywhere in the world right now.

Would have thought the best way to get him off the books would be to try and make it seem he's on the fringes but not quite in favour.

the thing is mate - you don't know what's been said behind closed doors and I suspect there is a little more to this. So the fact we don't know means that we aren't actually washing our dirty linen in public.

Didn't change the fact that we were 2-0 up and comfortably the better team with 15 minutes to go. That sub lost us the game.

It gave them hope. Its a big thing in football.

As bad as we were defensively last season some of the chances we had to kill teams off that we never converted was incredibly frustrating.

Just think theres a case of realisation that we simply made a mistake and we want everybody to know it.

Quite refreshing, rather than playing the game we are just saying "This fella is utter rubbish, swerve him".

He has done no damage. Stuff happens. A signing didnt work out, so what?

When did we all become so precious? How DARE we sign a player that didnt work out? No other club has ever done that!

The clown did. He signed a bad player with massive money. Probably seen a few YouTube clap and spent £13.5m on a player who worths £3m in reality. Martinez was a massive failure and caused huge damage to the club with two bottom half finish in a row.

Other clubs can waste whatever they want. This is Everton we are talking. Add to £10m we paid to the clown thanks to BK, we wasted £23.5m on these waste of space in 6 months time. Sounds bad enough?

No he didnt!

He signed a bad player, so what? Every manager does so.
He did not cause HUGE damage. We came a few spots down from where we usually finish and won bugger all again. Again so what? It wasnt ideal and he was rightfully let go but lets not pretend that he decimated a hugely successful club over the past 20 years or anything. We are in the same position we have been for the past 10 or so years. I love this bottom half talk too. We came 11th. Its used to make it seem so dramatic. We finished mid table which although again is not great, its hardly destroyed the club has it?

The hyperbole used by some of our fans blows my mind.

We are in no way different to other clubs when it comes to business. Its neither yours or my money, why would you care what was legally paid off in a contract due to him getting sacked? Judging by your comments you wanted him sacked so technically....its your fault we lost 10M more....

Obviously thats a joke (kind of anyway...) but I am thoroughly sick of the hate and general sneering coming out of some of our fans these days.

Martinez didnt work out. He did his best and speaks well of us, he also did a lot of good things for the club but he has (rightly) gone now, why the hate?

Niasse has been a disaster. Martinez wasnt capable of taking us any further. We are second in the league and no worse off than what we have been for a timescale thats probably longer than many posters on here have been on earth.

Life is way to short to worry about money that isnt yours. Let it go, he has destroyed nothing.

There's no way he'd be on less money if he had gone out on loan that's not how it works, the loan club either pay a fee and/or some or all the wages, let's face it we'd have accepted anything within reason.

If Koeman told him he would not play it is rather stupid of him not to take up an offer from Palace or whoever to get a chance to prove himself.

Apropos nothing at all really, I saw that Bony is upsetting the apple cart at Stoke already with his attitude during training (some paper via BBC sport app Gossip column in case anyone's interested) so all clubs get it wrong from time to time although it can't be argued that Bony is far more likely to score PL goals than our Oumar
