With only a year left on his contract, surely any team would be stupid to put a cash offer in for him?

Anyone of any interest would surely look for a loan and then try sign him on a free when his contract expires

I can maybe see someone offering something for McCarthy. They won’t necessarily want to wait a year if they feel he can stay fit and do a job for them now.

Niasse could also attract a fee - the problem with shifting him is that it’s unlikely anyone will offer the same wages as he’s on here, not that we’re looking for a transfer fee.

we stayed up because as much as we loathe him fat sam come in and organised a shobby defence and made us hard to beat, ZERO to do with niasse going on a "mini run"

Might be able to convince him on the wage front with it being the last year of his contract. He might get a better/longer deal now than he would next year when he's 30. Might being the operative word though.
