Bruce Wayne

Player Valuation: £100m
Osman has always been one to attract criticism for his performances but I think this season he's playing better than ever. The two goals he scored yesterday and against Larissa were as good as you could ever wish to see. They show the talent he has and I think having Pienaar and Arteta alongside him has helped a great deal.

I think to a certain extent the same might be said about Pienaar, having a couple of other guys in the team that the opposition have to focus on will give you a little more time and space, and less pressure, also confidence is a big factor.

He needs to maintain it over the season. Its not like we have not seen him play like this before. A couple of seasons back he was being touted for England, and then he vanished for a while.

to me Ozzy's allways been talented, great quick feet, good finisher, and loads of effort, but he's slight and in a 442 can get bullied out of it, I think him , Cahill & Carsley all play better in the 451 set up, which given the amount of forwards we now have could give Moyes a few nice problems!:)

Am I missing something, didn't he only score once yesterday?

Anyways, for what it's worth I do think Osman will be one that may get left behind, a la Hibbert, the further we progress.

But, as ever, I'd love to be proven wrong.

Ah, I just reread it after drinking some coffee and it makes sense, just my blurry morning head.

I would like him to continue progressing, but just have the feeling he may be bumped out by a new signing or two.

What some people have to understand...he has played well the past 6 games or so, and if you look at the opposition we have played its not that difficult ot play well!!! soon he will fade out again...thats why i think we should keep rotating pienar and osman rather than playing htem together...

Coincides with Cahills return?

As I have said many a times, Ossie is twice the player when in a midfield with Cahill.

His goal Yesterday was extreamly under-rated as well. He looked all over the place - looked certain to lay it off and pass, hence the lack of challenges. Great goal.

Was every bit as good as Thierry Henrys vs Liverpool a few years back.

Extremely underrated - long may it continue for opponents to overlook him! Hardest worker in a Blue shirt by a long chalk which probably explains his constant presence in the side and the fact that Moyesie hardly ever takes him off.

TD

Is no wonder he is offer an new contract, he is under-rated and he knows his weakest and there is not much he could do about height, but that doesn't stop him from becoming a better player, well done Ossie for improving other department, keep it up!

he is smart and reads the positioning very well, when the midfield is crowded he has the extra edge, which is why he so often conjures possession when it doesnt seem on.

he isnt short of pace, but his ability to strength his way through (like vic, yak, cahill,) isnt there.

with a good referee, ossie has free reign, at other times he can be marginalised.

do marvel at his skills though.
