Dear Sam.
I am a 56 year old lifelong Everton fan.
I realise that you have been parachuted in to a situation that was not of your making.
I also understand that you have too many holes to fill within this transfer window.
I applaud your signings of Tosun and Walcott, who I think will improve us markedly.
I also acknowledge the improved results upon your appointment.
Can I please ask that you consider the following views.

1) Regardless of the supposed limited quality of left backs that Mr Walsh can supposedly identify, that you use your own nous and choose the best that you think are available.
2) Please never inflict Ashley Williams on us any more, he is an ongoing liability, that is no longer acceptable.
3) The same sentiments at point 2 relate equally to Morgan Schneiderlin who initially had a honeymoon period at this great club, but is now frankly an embarrassment.
4) Following on from point 3 can you please stop playing two holding CM players and play Rooney alongside Gueye in those positions.
5) As there are no other options currently please put a bit of confidence into Keane and (bit of a risk) get him back in at CB (you know the position well so should be able to help him). Best wishes over this from my former role as a somewhat limited CB myself.
6) Always play Iceland at the number 10 position an nowhere else.

You earlier said that you wanted to stop passing backwards / sideways, and that is now becoming endemic. This will ruin the out ball threat from Walcott.

Tosun looks useful but can hardly see another man in a blue shirt as the poor sod is so isolated.

I think if we follow the above points we will at least achieve the heady heights of mid table mediocrity.
That would be a sort of success following on from the shambolic attempts of your predecessors.

I actually feel sorry for Mr Moshiri in all this , as regardless of what others post, the chap has actually put in place the resources for us to , for once, be able to compete with those around us.

All the best to one and all Evertonians, and God help us !

I don’t honestly see what he see’s In Williams or snides they are shocking at best. Gana should of played today either with McCarthy (who I hope makes a quick recovery) or Rooney as you eluded too. Walcott looked liked he had settled in to his new surroundings pretty well today and tosun works very hard and I’m sure will come good once we actually have the balance 100% up to scratch. We know we ain’t going to win the league but a bit of effort goes a long way with us blues it’s about time we got Goodison back to being scary even for the Man City’s if this league COYB
