Online Dating

Was in the pub the other night having a chat with my mate that has signed up to online dating website. Said it was going quite well so far. Never really been one to diss online dating as such but nothing I'd ever felt compelled to do. Just wondering if any of you had any good stories about it, and whether it's something to actually contemplate signing up to... Conversely, please share any shockers you've heard of!!

My old housemate did it. Was on it for a while, until he met a girl who's a model and works all around the world. They are engaged and living together now.

Dunno if i'd do it tho.

Dating sites needs to be used only by sensible people. I've regretted introducing someone to a dating site. Make sure you used paid sites rather then the free ones.

My best mate used to use them, true story, he met a girl who was originally from Blackpool but was living in some plush penthouse apartment in Liverpool and she was some kind of neuro surgeon. She used to drive here to his house 3 times a week to see him.... Now this girl was stunning, clever, rich and wanted my mate to commit to a relationship after a few weeks....... He binned her.... When I asked him hy h said " it would mean having to move to Liverpool, it's too far for me to drive back and see my mum 3 times a week " ha ha....... Mug.
