I've never really understood betting, but was talking to me form tutor today (ever the responsible person he is :P ) and he was telling me of the tidy profits he'd made off the free bets on online companies.

So, am I right in thinking that if I sign upto Betfair, put my free £25 on Everton beating Derby at 1.26 or whatever, I get £30 back for keeps?

Of course I don't condone underage gambling in any way.....

Simple system would be; open 2 accounts with say Betfred and Bet365. Use one free bet on Everton winning, the other on the draw (just to be safe!). Saying that against Derby, just open up loads and put them all on Everton for the win. Surely? Right?
 

Ah right, was gonna say, £30 for nothing sounded a bit weird!

Do you have to use the £25 all at once or can split it into two or three?

I thought you got a free £25 bet when you signed up?!

I mean, I'm confident Everton will win, but I really can't afford to lose £25 if it goes tits up.

Nah you have to bet £25 quid. Normally as soon as you stake it you get a free £25 bet. Check the terms though.
