TX Bill

Player Valuation: £80m
...it would be seeing one Mikel Arteta on the pitch.

Still ticked he took the free kick instead of Baines but it will be great to see him back for 90 minutes.

Bill, he can't do anything if players around him don't show for the ball.
at one point he ran the width of the pitch waitng for baines to make a run inside the full back. baines never moved.

I'd say today was a bit of an abberation.

If you had to ask me if the team we saw today or the team we saw against Man City was closer to the real thing, I'd say the team against Man City.

We were all off the pace today.

I think when Arteta gets a bit more playing time, the pairing of him and Fellaini will be immense. With Fellaini's ball winning and Arteta's creativity it could be just what we need.

I don't see Arteta on the pitch at the moment that much of a positive.

Now hear me out. I love the guy and his talents, but I can't help but think that Pienaar is getting his nose pushed out.

I noticed when he came on against Brum, Pienaar's head went down a little and he hid.

When Arteta was injured Pienaar was awesome, plus this whole contract thing - he's on his way in my opinion.

I don't think I ever thought I'd hear any Evertonian say that.

Not taking issue with what you said but it just took me by surprise.

Good i hope he does bloody go, if he's going to sulk because Arteta is back.

Lets slow the kneejerking down a little here.

Arteta should help Pienaar on the pitch as he shares the same vision for play like he does.

I think Pienaar going out of form lately is more of a problem.

I don't think Pienaar was sulking because of Arteta today. He just seemed very frustrated. He couldn't get many touches with the ball and every time he did he'd get plowed over.

Well he's not ready for this game, it was a bad move by the manager. He spent 9m on Billy, he needs to start using him more.

Arteta played alright when he came on, it was the others who disappointed.

Can't see Bily making much of a difference in that type of game to be honest.

We all became too reliant on Arteta though? And Pienaar seems to operate in a 100m by 10mm space on the left wing.

Arteta is clearly lacking in sharpness and match fitness. However, I'm not sure Billy will do much better if he's on the pitch.
