I don't remember a supplement i would like to see that I suggest you find that before you do anything else today, and your right about Dave Thomas.
Ha ha. I am on the case now.
It isn't with all my usual memorabilia and it has got me thinking.
I named my elder lad after our manager at the time, and my mam knitted him a blue toy when he was a nipper which he still has to this day naturally called Latch. I am beginning to think I passed it to him a year or so ago. I reckon I need to speak to him to see what he has done wwith it. If he has lost or destroyed it I will be very unhappy.
If I do find it you are welcome to have a bead of it.

At the risk of boring those who have read this already...............
(to the theme of the Beverley Hillbillies-Google it)

Come and listen to a story of a man named Bob
He can score goals with the end of his knob
And then one day while playing 'gainst the Pool,
He pissed past Emlyn and scored a great goal.

Well the next thing you know the Kop is in despair
All the Evertonians through their hats up in the air
Then Bob Paisley said to Bill Shankly,
I think Prenton Park is the place for me.

I cant remember the last verse.

I will now get my coat.

@mellowblue i don't know what there is to dislike about that post. Latchford only won 12 caps and Thomas 8 caps for England. Both deserved more recognition IMO.
Although I do not get that bothered by the national team they failed to get to the World Cup in 1978 in part because of a lack of goals and a reluctance to play Latchford and Thomas that much contributed to that at least in part.

Exactly. It wasn't exactly a glorious period for the England team. Then again when has there been? Seriously though, when the national team was under performing as badly as they where during this period, the lack of playing time for latchford and Thomas was baffling to say the least.
