Blackburn away is a tough match. No offense at all and a bad break in giving up the one goal. End of story. Move on and prepare for match week number 2.

I believe I'm right in saying that we were the only away side to win at Ewood Park last season.
I think they lost one before and one after mate, so 3 on total. Still a good achievement like.

And as much as it may be knee-jerk thinking, I'm worried about Howard. He's never really had competition the whole time he's been here. Now that he finally does he drops a clanger. Didn't something similar happen to him at United?

It's progress of sorts that we can be so expectant of three points away from home against a solid Premiership team. That level of entitlement has been missing for a generation and it's return is welcome as far as I'm concerned. It means there's no appetite for the team to settle into that new comfort zone between 5th and 8th they've been stuck in for the past few seasons. The pressure to deliver is really on the club now. That's how it should be.
To be honest I don't think the presence of Mucha makes any difference at all during the game itself. Most of the work done by keepers during the game is spontaneous. Howard just had a brain fart. Where the competition will help him is ensuring he trains and prepares for the match as well as he possibly can.
it is not the loss, its more to do with moyes playing a right hand side that everbody on this forum knows offers nothing.
