Great to see Anichebe score in the Olympics! The 2-0 goal against Japan. Come on Anichebe.. more of that please! (y)

83rd minute: US 2-1 Holland. Altidore is bad ass. He should probably be starting but I can't complain with Novak's decision to use him as a sub. He's playing pretty good but I wish they would let Bradley go forward more.

The US has this guy Holden who's pretty damn good. He was born in Scotland and plays for the TX's Dynamo. Any good TX?

Awesome Anchibe keep it up

Crap. Holland just scored on a sweet free kick and Bradley and Adu are out of the next match. 2-2 Final.

M'Bia scored the winner for Kameroon... just an extra point in his favor.. Sign him please. Another midfielder who knows where the goal is isn't bad.

The USA were very unlucky vs. the Dutch.

I never thought I'd say this but we should have beaten them.

Fate is in our hands though.

I watched Argies v Aussies and Italians v Korea and bits of Brazil v Kiwis last night.

Riquleme looked in great touch, controlling the tempo but should have nailed a couple of freekicks, Mascherano cleaning up the scraps. Aussies had probably 2 chances but Ustari only touched the ball 3 times in the match.

Argie players that looked good

Monzon - Played left back, good attacking link play and a cracking left foot shot. Plays for Boca.
Garay - Commanding defender, composed, quick. Signed for Real this year I think.
Lavezzi - Got the goal, super quick, a smaller stocky player but a real handful, plays for Napoli.

Id say Argies have the best team this year maybe Argie Brazil final.

No real Aussie standouts but the defence did well limiting them to 1 goal with probably Milligan and Zadkovich holding up well.

Italy werent as controlling but got 3-0 up v Korea.

Motta in defence was the real standout, absolutley nothing got through him,Giovinco and Rocchi and Rossi all played well; while Korea has a really useful right winger in Kim Jung Woo i think it was.

Brazil beat the Kiwis 5-0 and it was just a light training run for them. They were flicking it around like it was a laugh.

Anyways some good talent on show, stay tuned for more thoughts.
