I really fancied going, with it being the Olympics n'all. But theres no way I can afford any of the events i'd want to see...

Oh, and one other thing....

Camerons quote...

The complaint was also dismissed by Prime Minister David Cameron, who said the Iranians would not be missed if they did not attend.

In an interview with the London-based paper Jewish News, Mr Cameron said: "It's completely paranoid. If the Iranians don't want to come, don't come - we won't miss you..."

Pricey huh. I'd love to see something, but it's not gonna happen by the looks of it.

I'd like to see the Dream Team play

Where is the football going to be played by the way??

£176 is the cheapest ticket on general sale for this years Champions League final.

I shall probably go to watch the Olympic cycling road race (price: £0)

I was going to enter into the ballot for a couple of tickets, but £176 is a joke!!! Decided straight away they can do one when I heard about the pricing. The £176 ticket is probably the back row of the top tier at Wembley where you can just about make out the players on the pitch below.

Does anyone know what was the situation is, with the Football team for Great Britain? Did they make a decision on the criteria...?

Got a mate who works for Reebok trying to get us corporate tickets to the champs league final.

Fingers crossed for a freebie!

£20 and £30 tickets to have a seat on The Mall to watch the 50K walk event. That has to be the worst value for money ticket of the Games.

Actually, though, some of those evening sessions for £50 a throw and with 4/5 plum finals, look pretty decent. The Olympics is a big deal and even being away from the finishing straight you're going to soak up the atmosphere of a once in a lifetime event. The travelling expense and accomodation would be the bigger consideration.

Believe it or not, the tickets actually include a Zone 1-7 tube ticket, from what I read.

But let's be honest, £50 for 3hours of athletics in which you'd see the semi-final then final of the 100m mens, a few winners ceremony's and the long jump and shot put semi's, isn't exactly bad, as it's £50 to watch England FC.

But the £50 tickets will be gone faster than you can say Usain Bolt, but they have lot's more tickets available, which go up and up and up and up and up, ending up at around £750.

THATS the rip off. That's what I'm dissapointed in.

You guys want to attend some F1.

Then you will know the true meaning of ripping off fans who love a sport.

What was the damage for that mate??

Is this right? Silverstone tickets from £60-£342, plus £25 parking? wowza.

I got weekend tickets for the Korean GP at the first corner. All in for me and the missus including camping fee and whatnot there was no change from a grand.

Yeah, I take your point. £50 (and at a push £95) for a ticket to the blue riband events of the Olympics high up in a corner of the stadium would just about represent good value, imo. £150-£725 = nein danke...for seven hundred quid they'd have to include a gold medal and a night out on the town with the Swedish womens synchronised swimming team.

I honestly cant fathom the attraction of that 'sport'. It's about as attractive a proposition to me as sitting in the British Legion watching a game of dominoes unfold.
