Is it possible that between every member on the forum we can have a short paraphrased commentary on the oldest game one of us ever attended? i wonder who attended the oldest game..!

Obviously this will work in reverse order.

I'll start

The very first game i ever attended to memory was this one

I remember sitting in the Bullens road, on my own as mate of mine give me a ticket. I was about 15 i think, and i remember vividly as Paul Furlong scored to make it 3-3 i was gutted. Still got the ticket too.

Sorry to go off topic I remember that one too - Chelsea fans chanting your only here for your vouchers (just before '95 cup final) and one of their goals was off-side

Right we may have a winner here.

anyone beat 1964?!

Everton 1 Spurs nil(I think) around 1948/9. Spurs team I think included Ted Ditchburn in goal, and Les Duquemin. Everton team included, probably Farrell, Eglington and T.G. Jones. Years later I was working near White Hart Lane(sometime in the early 80s) and went into Les Duquemins newsagents...he told me to call at the newsagents in the next street, because there was somebody running it I would like to meet. It was Wally'Nobby' Fielding.
