I remember spending the odd Friday night in the Pub the pre flyover 60s.
Me, the 2 lads (10 & 12) and the Mar parked in the little cul de sac for the Bayern Game and had a good evening reliving the highlights while we waited for the traffic to die down...any excuse.
So somewhere in between it all came down

….WW2 Liverpool Communal Feeding Centres. During the blitz a number of these were established, the first under Byrom St flats;

…New Brighton Pier. The ferry stopped in ‘71 and pier finally demolished in ‘78;
