Poplar bank Huyton - in my day a 75 bus terminus at the top next to the pathway to Huyton Station plus on machday in the late 1960s a special football bus went straight to Goodison Park - on the right in the old building was a new Huyton UDC council offices & at the bottom on the right of this photo was the Huyton UDC Parks & gardens offices were I interviewed after persistence of wanting a city & guilds apprenticeship - I went there every day to see the parks' manager for two weeks & he gave me the job instantly -
