1931 - Dixie Dean hanging in the air in a 9-1 FA Cup win v Southport on a snow laden mud bath of a Goodison pitch it was seven nil at half time! Many fans thought the game would be called off the snow lade pitch was so bad -

We won this game 1=-0 with a Dave Hickson goal only to get beat by favourites Bolton in the semi-final 4-3 plus we missed a pen in that game after a great comeback - this the led to the Mathews final for Blackpool to win the FA Cup that year -

Jimmy Husband leaps to cause chaos for Tommy Wright to eventually score in a 1-0 home win v Forest November 1969- notice a certain Henry Newton for Forest in the picture later to join us never hit the heady heights he did at Forest known as Henry the Hammer -

Just read that A young Bobby Collins playing for a Scottish amateur team was spotted by one of our scouts in the mid 1950s - the club agreed terms of £1000 & bobby and his father came to Goodison liked what the seen signed a letter agreed with the with terms and conditions to sign for Everton FC..... Celtic got wind of it offered the same & Bobby and his father backtracked and signed professional forms for Celtic - Everton threatened to goo to court but were advised the letter meant nothing they should have put it on an official registration form in stated of a letter as it was meaningless in those days the Scottish FA claimed = Everton that moment - Bobby went on to win most things for Celtic and was capped for Scotland - we then went back paying 40,000 plus in his supposed twilight years ... another mistake was letting him go to our rivals to be Leeds United -
Roy Vernon stated what a gem of a box to box midfielder -The was reason for selling he was too old ....another Catt Blunder-
