Yes lads, read his book recently - he had little or no say in the matter.

The teams were in colours he obviously couldn't have, black was reserved for refs in those days and yellow was reserved for international games.

That left the only colour he didn't actually want to wear.

Not doubting you are right, however I'm sure I read something about Nev mentioning his national team colours. Probably something like him not being as bothered about wearing red as it was Wales colours.
