'Back in the day' I was obsessed with everything Everton, so much so that I used to travel to every reserve ( as it was called then) game weekly.
I was absolutely convinced that Steven Schumacher would be our, and England's future captain. It wasn't really much of a reach seeing that he was our captain at his age group and also at England youth level too.
Every time I watched him he was solid. Guess it goes to show how big the leap can be between youth and top level football.
