Now the odd thing i would normally dread those run of fixtures, but now am looking forward to the challenge those very fixtures represent.
A sign of the times perhaps,or maybe just blind optimism ? Bring it on !!

we can get 6 points from those home games. we almost certainly won't, but if you watched both of them yesterday and our performance vs chelsea, we would have battered both of them.

we won't get anything from arsenal though. i wish we could play them in the first couple of weeks like the RS always seem to fluke - arsenal start the first month terribly in front of their own fans. been doing it for years.

Fancy us against anyone. Starting to feel like it did the season before last, spirit appears to be back in the team.
The squad has improved hugely in the past year - young quality players like Deulofeu, Barkley, Galloway, Garbutt and Besic can't even guarantee starts.
Our first team has been quality for a few seasons now..but our squad has improved so much that we can afford to have our usual injury crisis(Baines, Gibson, Cleverley et al) and still field a strong team.

This team should fear nobody...especially that bunch of nobodies from over the park

We'll beat the shoite - they're f-all. No-marks. They can even have their usual 20+decisions their way in a derby, it won't help them one jot. They're gettin' it....brenda, klopp or whoever's managing them at the time.

I'm guessing we'll beat united too, with home advantage.

Arsenal, I'm not so sure; I'd take a point now. Can't see us getting anythin there though.

And I know it's rescheduled for Tv on Nov 1st, but sunderland are pyar keech. Anything less than three points & I'll fume majorly - even if we beat the other three comprehensively.....In fact, that'd be horribly Everton, that.

Given the chance I'm sure we'd buck that trend

We love changing teams/players fortunes

I wish we were playing Liverpool now, they are awful.

I thought the same but I also said similar about Chelsea, on the assumption they wouldn't still be that bad after the international break and that a team like that can't have a bad run of that magnitude, and Chelsea somehow managed to get worse!

Have to factor in right at the moment European football hasn't started yet, those extra games will take a toll on all the teams in those comps, we can definitely benefit from being free of the mid week then weekend slog
