Hi there,
I managed to get some tickets for what will be my first game ever at Goodison Park!! I was so excited until I received the tickets today and it says they are "obstructed view"!!
They are at Lower Gwladys, GT2 PP seats 48 and 49. My bro is coming all the way from Barcelona to watch the game with me and I was so excited till I read that.
Anyone could please tell me how bad the view is going to be? Are we going to be able to watch the goals?
Thanks for you help.

Dont worry it should'nt be that bad,If theirs a post in the way you'll only have to move over a bit.

so you'v not been before? well about 35% of the ground is obstructed views.

anyway enjoy your day!!(y)

[Poor language removed] man!!! now you've made my day.... :(
Well, I guess we'll have to sit down and just listen to the atmosphere... Unbelievable!

Dont worry dfons, that picture makes it so much worse than what it really is.

I was in QQ for a derby and albeit it wasnt the best of views, you can still see the game - obviously.

bainsey, can I ask a personal question.

how small are you?

looks like a child's view of goodison park.

Im 17, 5ft 6 roughly.

Honestly danny i thought the view was bloody awful, I was a ST holder, one of the first on the first day to move seats and thats what i got.

My legs were killing and had cramp from standing on my toes all game, no need at all for 50% of the up and downing of people, we'd get the ball on our own 18 yard box and everyone bloody stands.

Made me realise why i love the balcony so much.

i was back there once for a wimbledon game. it's not as bad as that pic... you can see the pitch! but it was a bit [Poor language removed]. my mate was by the wall where it curves round at the back. he was not too pleased.

and yes suits.. a new stadium please! nice steep stands and the like but please a seat where we can watch the game!

posted a while back about the new wembley and want to reiterate.

These colossus stadiums are not all they are cracked up to be.

Obscured posts or not, I've never really felt far from the action at Goodison. Even when I've had seats in the clouds.

New Wembley? I had a seat so far into the sky, that gravity was beginning to lose its grip. People were getting [Poor language removed] altitude sickness.

The pitch looked like a postage stamp. The players? [Poor language removed] me they could've been cardboard cut outs.

It was like watching krill mate through a microscope.

contrast that to tommy gravs scoring at goodison and basically walking over to me and my dad and hugging us.

so there's an occasional naff pillar?

[Poor language removed] me, if you brought a 14" telly to wembley, most fans near you would watch your telly as the pitch is so far away it may as well be in france.

everyone has their own story... my best is when i went with my cousin a few years back. we were in the main stand and his ticket said obstructed view. we had to laugh. he had a piller right over the centre circle and one right in the middle of both goals at each end. the funny thing was he could see both posts on the goals just no net.

There never that bad mate. I share a season ticket in the Lower Bullens, front row, and i hate it, no obstructions as well. When its not my turn to use the seat, i buy my ticket in Top Balcony, always obstructered views, and its great up their.
