Alan Irving says on the OS today that the extra-time was a bonus for certain players yesterday, with the obvious inference that they needed game time to recover from injury, and Nuno Valente was one of those named.

Has he been injured or did Irving merely mean that he hasn't played much?

I thought he just wasnt making the team. Whichever way it was good to see a few get a good run out, namely Vaughan.
