Player Valuation: £20m
This season we have done brilliantlly in the league, Carling Cup and the Uefa Cup. The team is playing well and we seem to finally be able to play 4 4 2 with some success. The problem for me is that I find fault in the lesser players when the team starts to play well. For me the stand outs are Hibbert, Carsley and Neville. They are all OK players but will never win you anything. As the team has progressed they have looked increasingly dodgy. I counted at least 20 occasions when Neville and Carsley gave the ball away when they weren't under pressure. Imagine on these 20 occasions that EFC could have attacked instead of being under pressure from a throw in or cocheap corner.
The question is which RB,DM and CM would you buy to replace these players.

fook me ive just had a right "carsley" me lots of hard work with not much out put!!!

but in a great way i mean!!!!!!!!!!!

If you go on to any web site either in this country or abroad you will find fans unhappy with players, espeially in the more successful sides. As Moyes hyas given Hibbo a long contract, Nev is club captain, don't expect too much movement there, a Carsley replacement is vital but difficult undertaking. I would think Bradley will be the man, possibly Appiah who has had a torrid time in Turkey. I have no doubt DM will surpise us all in any case(y)

Your right Monty, what concerns me is the cash side of it ,good players dont come cheap and Moyes cant keep pulling them out the hat hes made some great signings but we now need top class replacements if we are to progress further(y)

I give up posting in the summer Roy cus you get kids suggesting that we can sign anyone no matter what the cost or consequece is and if you suggest they are tilting at windmills you suddenly become the worlds worse

ROSICKY!!!

haha seriously though, hibbert imho has stepped up immensely this season, he doesn't exactly help us out that much, but he doesn't [Poor language removed] up defensively, which means they don't score on us, and that's all i care about for a defender. maybe after he develops a bit of confidence, the offensive buildup will come later. (i did see him take on a couple fiorentina players on wednesday, surprised the [Poor language removed] outa me)

neville has experience, not our best player but his leadership qualities will earn him a starting role any day.

as for the carsley conundrum, we seem rather anxious as it is to play our defenders in midfield. would it work if we maybe moved jags to carsley's position, and had hibbert yobo lescott baines in the back? i really don't feel we should make a new signing for that position.

Think Neville has been a concern this season. He is the weakest link as Ms. Roberston would say. Still think Hibbert is the whipping boy in the team though and not half as bad as much of the support makes him out to be

sometimes i just dont unsderstand the stick some of our players get.

first , neville , he is a workhorse who has been great at right back this season.he is a bit iffy in midfeild granted but that doesnt mean i think he's a bad player.just take a look at his stats and you will see what an important player he has been for us.

second , carsley , for the role he plays he has been imense for 2 or 3 seasons.obviously he lacks some qualities but for the role he plays he is spot on.makalele eat your heart out.

lastly hibbert , imo he gets too much stick. lets get one thing straight , hibbert is one of the best tacklers st the club.i think he gets stick becouse his passing/crossing isnt that good.well that's for him and moyes to work on , but that doesnt mean he is a bad player.
if his name was carlos elhibberto and he played for chelsea people would be saying what a great right back he is.

all 3 are not the most gifted but all 3 give 100 %.they 'are' good players.

if i could pick some players who i feel need to raise there game it would be yobo and baines.neither have done much this season.

im even starting to think we would be a better side if yobo was dropped so lescott and jags can be the cb pairing.

Are you sure? He was an unused sub.

I'm telling you Mont, little Jack Rodwell from Birkdale will be carved out in the Carsley mould.

get neville upfront that would be a great place for him, i mean his passing is wild, his shooting even more so..all we'd have to do is get him to aim for somene in the back row of the stand behind goal and he'd be hitting 60 a season easily ...all hail neville haha

"maybe after he develops a bit of confidence" hibbs has had enough time to develop and has had more than enough years to develop confidence...he needs to go.

Leave neville alone :P he is our very own clown in clown shoes, who would we have to laugh at and cheer when he eventually scores again? haha

Nev is a workhorse, i mean how many other players do you know that lump the ball into the stand instead of passing under no pressure to another defender/midfielder?

The other concern isnt so much really about those 3 players, but more about the development of our goalkeeper. He is a pretty decent shot stopper, but he has this very very annoying habit of huge long goal kicks either to the opposition or directly from a goal kick into the stands..this type of [Poor language removed] needs to be weeded out of him..when we play on the deck we can and do beat anyone..so why is he still doing it, when moyse has told him to pass the ball out? Only once in a while will you see him pass the ball out like on wednesday.
