Double whammy runners up to that lot in League and Cup. Sickening. 1987 at least was some consolation,but bloody hell I never dreamed it would be our last title for 35 years and counting (yes I am including 21-22!)

I'm reading that book about our most recent title win at the moment. It's a great read. All going well, i hopefully have at least another 60 years of life left. It would be nice if Everton win the league again, somewhere within that time frame.

Always remember that game as it took us about 7 or 8 games to get over that loss

Think that was one of the lowest of the low, 1977 cup final we threw away

Another game that sticks is the Mike Walker era when he stated that the Coventry at home was an easy game (as we were in the Farrelly relegation fight), Phil Neal was their manager and Dublin scored two I think to beat us 2 - 0.

Just a thought too about Coventry, the chocolate brown kit with white socks...... worst kit ever!
