Notifications/New rep

Sorry if this is not deserving of it's own thread but when I recieve any Rep lately the notification shows I have 2 new message thingys when I only have 1....... not really a biggy I know but my heart sinks a little with the disapointment after I read the first one only to find out there is not another 1........... is this something to do with my computer ?? Thanks for your anticipated help.

Happened to me as well, was like having two birthday presents and one was an empty box.

*goes to a corner, sits down, starts sobbing and sucking thumb.

I think the problem may be that I am watching Star Trek :- Generations and Kirk and jean luc picard are stuck in a Quantam Nexus and are struggling to get out... somebody from the future blew up a huge star and affected the space/time continuum...... could this have affected the rep system ???
