Ghost, good thread, we were discussing same thing here earlier after the Picton verdict came through yesterday...the bet was that for each news service in North America that leads with this, there'd be at least two that would lead with a story about Britney Spears / Paris Hilton / etc.

I agree completly. I really couldn't give a [Poor language removed] about this guy and why he faked his own death yadda yadda yadda.
Mind you i dont really give a [Poor language removed] about most of the crap thats portrayed as "news" in the media these days.

On QI last night, they were asking why was 15minutes of piano music played during a date in 1930?

Answer, it was because there was no news. Nothing to report, so they just played some music. Now that I would like to hear.

Is it just me or have reporting standards fallen to an all time low. From political commentators who sound like the school sneak reporting gossip as news to the [Poor language removed] churned out by the sun, mirror and sport. They say you get what you deserve, I deserve better informed and politically free media than we have at present:angry: :angry: (rant over)

Im going with Monty on this one, I wouldnt touch her. Which is unusual for a man of my limited standards but as said, you have to admire the H-man for his statement from the heart.
