Nothing but the Best, is it Good Enough?

I'm glad Moshiri made that unforgivable statement in a way: because it will haunt him forever. We'll get as many unexpected losses as expected wins, that's for sure.

He's now a hostage to that statement just as Moyes was with his classic defeatist statement.

The club needs to keep him away from his " mate " Jim White and the press for one.

I was disappointed with the comments, although I do think it is worth acknowledging that English isn't his first language. Having said that, it wasn't like these words were spoken live on Sky Sports News or TalkSport as far as I am aware, so I think if the message was misunderstood then that is his own fault for not getting his message straight before sending it to Jim White.

Personally, I didn't expect many points from our opening 5 games but given the supposed ambition we had, I certainly expected more than 4, and in particular not the embarrassing and pathetic performances put in during certain games. The Atalanta game and final 10 minutes of the Man United game being 2 in particular that were not acceptable. Out of those 5 games in the League, I would expect 2 defeats out of 3 in the tough away games, but at least 1 win in the other 2 hard games if we were serious about challenging the top 6.

We couldn't beat a side with 10 men for over 45 minutes and we got absolutely taken apart at home to Spurs. That is not something I expect and I think the comments were defeatist and small time.

The fact that this horrendous run was simply brushed off with “only unexpected defeat” is excruciatingly defeatist and small time. It seems as that attitude from the very top has seeped into Koeman and he doesn’t seem worried at all because he knows he can get away with it.

The teams we should be challenging this year absolutely embarrassed us and we look a million miles away from them now.

It’s a shame because when Moshiri came in they had us believe “nothing will be the same”, but that’s blatantly wrong. It looks like it’s going to take more fan protests to get another failing manager out the door.

We should just modernise our motto anyway , something people can understand. Something like; We Wanna Win Stuff, NOW!
Look good under the old tower that.

How about something more fitting for our last 20 years or so....
Aim for a draw, hope for a win seems to fit.

Rogers & Hammerstein penned a dirge for the rs to later pinch, but they also wrote the line - if you don't have a dream, how you going to make a dream come true. That's what the motto is, a dream to aim for.
