Yep, we'd be on 12 to Chelsea's 13. Of course, that's all shoulda woulda coulda in the past now, but my money's on us shaking this off and having a great season. Every side will have at least 5 or 6 games that they throw away points in (well, maybe apart from Chelsea). A lot have had a couple already. We'll be fiiiiiine.

Edit: and Martinez knows this, hence his calming interviews and positive outlook. He knows what needs working on and what would be a knee-jerk response and how to distinguish between the two.

Drawing first blood isn't good enough anymore thanks to a badly understocked defence, the sure sign of impending relegation.

For years we eked results out of nowhere but our luck has finally run out I feel.

I have honestly never felt this way before, often games were dictated by who scored first and if we got it there was a fair chance we'd win. We have only capitalised on that situation once out of four occasions. The squad has not other options in defence so we are stuck with it.

I could almost cope if every friend I had wasn't an RS nutter....

This place would have been locked down and banned for life if this forum had been running in the early 90's and late 90's. Do you remember all you had to vent your anger was waiting until you seen your mates on a Monday in school to say how crap we had played on the Saturday. By the time Monday came around the disappointment was a little more diluted. Now with boss forums like this we can all fume 7 days a week and predict unimaginable woe and heartache off the back of our crap start to the season. I reckon we will be sound and will come out of this rough patch a stronger side for it. The biggest positive is every other decent side around us are dropping points so there's not much to catch up on as yet.
