I really think that our name is on this cup. For me, this victory, was easier (if that's not an insult) than the Bolton one last week. We've hit a stide, and our style of play has seeped into the team irrespective of who plays. That can only bode well.

Fingers still crossed, take each game at a time, but we have a great chance of at least semi finals.

I agree with you Black, I feel that this may be ours.

I also have no problems with meeting Man Utd either. Then we will have won the cup and beating the top 3 teams in the league in the process.

We deserve this.

Semi Finals fine - but the Final - probability is we meet United :|.

Even if we do meet United in the final, we beat them in 1995 with a relegation haunted team while they were flying high in the league.

wouldn't want them in the semis though...

I reckon we could beat chelsea or arsenal at our place

I bet SAF is sitting there thinking

"Thank fluck we didn't draw Everton in the next round, I don't want to lose yet"

Said back in the summer that Van der Meyde was going to score a winner in a cup final.

Thought it'd be the UEFA, but didn't specify so I'm standing by that premonition.

Will this get in the way of pushing on for 4th place and the Champions league. Cup runs have been known to have dubious effects on league play.

We always seem to buck every trend Rob. Lets hope this lifts everyone and reinstates our Never going to die attitude.

I understand your point completely, but I am sure you are like me and hope your concerns never come to fruition.

Really sure on that. Well would you say 5th is a better prospect to achieve as a way into Europe rather than hoping to be FA Cup finalists, win or lose.

two more cup games between us and the final, which is played at the end of the season. if we can't play two games without it affecting our league form then we don't deserve to be in the top six.
