Up till that error of Distin's yesterday we were doing ok.

Have been cringing at some of your posts since.

If you think even the very very best players don't make mistakes once and a while.

Or that a manager has to keep discipline in a dressing room. Balotelli is the perfect example.

Doing 'ok' in the biggest game for years when you really need to bring your triple-A game just to get over the line...I'll leave you to ponder where you've gone wrong here.

Dave we were winning until Distin's error.

It took a gift from us for them to be back in the game.

You know as well as I do cup games are lotteries. It can happen.

The fact Pienaar was cup tied and Drenthe missing for unknown reasons didn't help.

We've signed A PLAYER in Jelavic. We just need to add to that now with players who will be AVAILABLE at critical stages next season

It is odd though Matt, that he plays last game and then doesn't even make the bench. I'm not interested in the dirty details, but I would like to know if there was a genuine reason for his omission, or that Moyes didn't select him. If it's the latter, then that's a major error imo. I'll bet they were made up he wasn't in the squad. Erratic as he is, he can really hurt the opposition and get them on the back foot.

I think saying we were doing OK is being massively generous. Carroll should have scored twice before then wheras we couldn't string two passes together. I can accept losing when we have a go; it just felt like an abject surrender yesterday.
 
More combined goals and assists than any other player this season with a fraction of the game time that Cahill has had. Its got to be one hell of a reason why he wasn't at least on the bench. Moyes needs to clear up what has gone on.
