Non League Football

The FA need to change it. 3 up and down now.

I agree mate, it makes all but impossible to get out of the National League.

Rochdale had to go through all that to get up, despite being miles ahead of the third placed team.

Same thing happened to York last year, who finished second, miles ahead of the third place team again and went out to sixth place Oldham in the play off final.

Just checked his Wiki, been at a few clubs in and around this level, along with League 2. See he even coached at Besiktas.

Other than that, who knows. Not heard anything about players going yet, but I assume that the majority, if not all, will be on the way out. So, is he up for the task of basically building a whole new team?

Yeh an unknown. I don’t even know if we’ll be classed as a big side in that league these days.

I think Barrow will be classed on one of the bigger clubs in the National league, based on having been in League 2 for a couple of seasons, where as 3/4 of the teams in the National League have no chance of ever getting out of it, due to one thing or another, money being the main one.

That`s why teams like York and Rochdale were able to kepp having a crack at promotion, as they`re able to get better players in, due to being able to pay their wages and still be financially viable ( I appreciate both have had financial problems in the recent past ).

It all depends on how we manage the summer, along with how many fans, that came along after promotion, stay around. I would be content with a top half stable finish.

Hopefully some will and we get around 2000+ regularly, which we were starting to get once it looked we were getting promotion 6 years ago.
