Thinking of getting my 'arl Technics Home Theatre System down from loft, like absolute spon(taken from the Welsh 'sbon') new tbh with all 5 surround sound speakers (also like spon). I only put it up there cos when we had Babz we could never have it on as was too loud, and the mrs was brassed off with the extra speakers etc etc 'as women do' it was when we move from an arl telly to a flat one as I remember and got rid of the big tv unit as well.

Reason for getting it down is I cant help thinking that the xbox games will be ace through it, although would probs add a subwoofer as back when I got it they cost about as much as a house and where about the size of a spare room.

Anyways, it would be a great Amp for in my daughters room tbh if not for the xbox, BUT ..............
is 80w per channel a decent amount ?
my neighbours seem to have developed the habit of Bass 'til 6 a.m. again, so in a typical blokey 'gloves are off' fashion I cant help in thinking that about an hour after they hit the sack (& all the blerts crashing) a little Halo4 or Forza Horizon wouldnt take long to make a very valid point, and that subwoofer I mentioned would be just the ticket for when she's tired and just got the babies to sleep, i want to make her head ring with various Halo weaponry, or have Martin Tyler implanted in her brain through a bit of Fifa.


So, 80watts per channel.... would it do the job ?

Put the speakers against the wall adjoining their house and that should cause some disturbance.

They had a party for his brother 2 weeks ago, all rolled back at 1 then pumped base until 6 a.m.

She informed us that they were having another party, to which I expressed my concerns that although she's giving us a days notice we have still got 3 kids in the house and she needs to respect that fact, she assured me that "it wont be like the other week, everyone will be gone before 1." The Mrs informed her that if its too loud & kids cant get to sleep then she'll knock, she was fine with that and said it would be lowered if thats the case.... my Mrs had to knock, she turned it down, but half hour later the kids are awake and it's louder than originally so i went round, full of apologies-someone elses fault again etc etc again assuring us they'd all be gone by 1am, I did point out that it was only Bass that was the prob and that the kids could feel it through their pillows so if that was reduced then there wouldn't even be a prob.

She must have stuck 2 fingers up as she shut the door, cos as I say it was 6 am again that the bass was thudding away.

Now these have had the chopper over our house with coppers in my back garden previously, so I'm fairly certain that if my Mrs had rang the Police as she wanted to,then an alert would've flashed regarding their antics last time and the coppers comments about 'an aroma,' maybe they'd have turned up and bumped into their beak delivery guy ?


so, having a word hasn't worked, and i reckon it'd only take 'til the end of the hols to break her, I reckon I could make me jumping through plate glass on a game or kicking a door through feel exactly like it was someone smashing through theirs, I can tell that it wouldn't take much to reduce her to a train crash and will be quite happy to do so.




I was thinking of getting a Sound Bar* as they take up less space/tidier but don't seem to have as much power.

This has worked for me. Gary Moore at full volume at 2am and they took the hint.

Once when I was in student halls there was a group of tits sitting outside in the sun playing and singing along to an acoustic guitar. Proper cringey it was.

I opened my window, put my two speakers on the sill and let Lez Zeppelin's "When The Levee Breaks" wreak havoc. They soon stopped.

I've got this mate. The neighbours don't need to worry and its 7.1 Surround Sound.
