... Interesting to see Baxter wearing the no 7 shirt tonight, noticing everyone else had their numbers without names on, could Baxter be our new number 7???

Doubt it cos he already has a squad number (number 37)
and the rest of the team where wearing there usual numbers.

Looks like he is our new number 7, f#cked up that lol.

I still hope Raz Elm will be our new no. 7. Liked waht I saw of Baxter today tho, hope he gets a few chances this year.
 
I noticed that as well, im not sure if it is his new number though, he is still number 37 according to the official site.


We havent had a decent number 7 for ages though
 

They were only friendly shirts with no name on.
Baxter had 7 and Wallace had 15 because they probably don't have friendly shirts as high up as 37 & 38
 
Think it's mostly because they have a set number of jerseys with them for friendlies and deals the not-used numbers to reserves and players with high numbers.

But it might also be to confuse the opponents. So they can't see the difference between Fellaini and Hibbert on corners for example. (y)
 

Loads of the kids with big numbers have worn smaller ones through pre-season, he might get the number 7 but I really doubt it or they'd have almost certainly done it when they gave Dan Gosling number 19
